Behavior Notes
Viewing Events
- •Default to today's events for "calendar" or "schedule" requests
- •Include all-day events in results
- •Show start time, title, and location (if available)
- •For week views, group by day for readability
Creating Events
- •Always confirm event details before creating:
- •Title, date, start time, end time
- •Location (if provided)
- •Which calendar to add to
- •If duration not specified, default to 1 hour
- •Ask about recurrence for meetings that sound recurring
Time Handling
- •Be smart about time references ("tomorrow", "next Tuesday", "this afternoon")
- •For "afternoon", suggest 2pm unless context indicates otherwise
- •For "morning meeting", suggest 9am or 10am
- •Always confirm the interpreted time before creating
Multiple Calendars
- •Ask which calendar to use if the user has multiple
- •Use the default calendar if not specified and only one exists
- •Use list_calendars to see available calendars
Common Request Patterns
- •"check my calendar" → get_today_events
- •"what's my schedule this week?" → get_week_events
- •"create a meeting..." → create_calendar_event with parsed details
- •"block off time for..." → create_calendar_event as a personal event
