AI Overview Vulnerability Assessment

Check if your target keywords trigger AI Overviews in Google:

  • High vulnerability: Informational queries where AI Overview answers the question completely
  • Medium vulnerability: Mixed intent where AI Overview provides partial answer
  • Low vulnerability: Transactional, navigational, or complex queries where AI Overview is minimal

Mitigation strategies:

  • Target keywords where AI Overviews cite sources (be that source)
  • Create content with unique data/perspectives AI cannot synthesize independently
  • Optimize for "People Also Ask" which often appears alongside AI Overviews
  • Build brand authority so AI models reference your brand by name

Content Audit Framework

A systematic approach to evaluating and improving existing content.

Step 1: Content Inventory

Build a complete inventory of all indexed content:

  • URL, title, publish date, last updated date
  • Word count and content type (blog, landing page, guide, etc.)

Remove (delete or noindex):
