Version Management

Semantic versioning: major.minor.patch

Commit Type	Version Bump
BREAKING CHANGE	Major

Actions: Analyze commits, determine bump, update version files, generate changelog

Release Artifacts

•Git tag - Signed if configured (git tag -s vX.Y.Z)
•Release notes - Generated from commits
•Build packages - Deployment-ready artifacts
•Container images - Tagged with version

Deployment Pipeline

Development → Staging → Production

Per-stage: Deploy, smoke test (critical paths, API, DB, auth), health check, monitor errors

Rollback Strategy

Triggers: Smoke test failure, error rate spike, health check failure

Actions: Revert to previous version, reverse DB migrations, invalidate caches, notify
