Ask Gemini

Delegate tasks to Gemini CLI running in headless mode. Gemini CLI provides access to Gemini models and Google Workspace services (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Chat).

Prerequisites

Assume Gemini CLI is already installed. If command not found, direct the user to install Gemini CLI first.

Usage Patterns

Simple Queries

For general questions or brainstorming:

Code Review and Analysis

Pipe file content to Gemini for review:

For multiple files or directory context:

Google Workspace Operations

For any Workspace operation (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, etc.), add the --allowed-mcp-server-names=google-workspace flag:

Output Handling

Gemini CLI is a smart AI agent. It returns markdown-formatted text by default. Return its output as-is, unless you're told to do further processing, e.g. saving the output into a file.

Workspace Extension Capabilities

When using --allowed-mcp-server-names=google-workspace, Gemini can:
