Input scope
You receive the repository file tree (paths only) and governance documents (CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md, ARCH_INDEX.md). You cannot read file contents directly.
Analyze structural patterns through file naming, directory organization, and path conventions visible in the file tree.
Analyze the file tree to identify near-duplicate files. Flag files with identical names appearing in different directories. Flag files differing only by a suffix or prefix (e.g., utils.js and utils2.js, old_config.yaml and config.yaml). Flag files with highly similar names, paths, or structural placement suggesting duplication. Assess duplication based on file naming patterns, path similarity, and directory placement. Legitimate cases such as platform-specific implementations or versioned snapshots should be noted but not flagged as violations.
Classify each finding by severity:
- •BLOCKING: (reserved; not used for this heuristic skill)
- •MAJOR: likely duplicates with strong evidence (identical names, very high structural similarity)
- •WARNING: possible duplicates with moderate evidence (similar names, partial structural overlap)
- •INFO: observations about naming patterns or minor similarities
Set status to "fail" if any BLOCKING findings exist, otherwise "pass".
