Year-Round

- •Spotted Seatrout — grass flats, sandy potholes. 15"–20" slot, 3 per person
- •Sheepshead — bridge pilings, docks, rock piles. Peak Dec–Mar. 12" min, 8 per person
- •Black Drum — same structure as sheepshead. Peak winter
Seasonal
- •Tarpon (May–Aug) — Egmont Key, Skyway Bridge, passes. Catch-and-release only in state waters
- •Kingfish (Oct–Apr) — Egmont Key reef, Skyway artificial reef
- •Cobia (Mar–May) — follow rays on flats, Skyway area
- •Mangrove Snapper (year-round, peak summer) — docks, bridges, nearshore reefs
- •Grouper/Snapper offshore (Jan–May open for red grouper, check regs annually)

- •Bunces Pass — snook, redfish, trout on the flats. Watch draft at low tide.
- •Skyway Bridge — sheepshead (winter), snook under lights (summer), kingfish nearby
- •Egmont Key — tarpon alley (summer), snook on the beach, snapper on the reef
- •Fort De Soto flats — wade fishing for trout and redfish
- •Weedon Island — mangrove redfish, snook
- •Shell Key flats — trout, redfish on low-incoming tides
