Seasonal Considerations

  • Winter — river destinations more comfortable, fewer crowds

  • Fall — excellent weather, fishing and sightseeing combinations

Port32 Advantages

  • Central location — equal distance to river and ocean destinations
  • Fuel dock — top off for longer runs to St. Augustine or Georgia
  • Valet service — leave early, return late, boat handled
  • River access — immediate access to St. Johns, no inlet to cross

Navigation Notes

  • ICW markers — well marked but pay attention, shoaling common
  • Georgia waters — different regulations, check requirements
  • Military zones — respect all restricted areas, especially around Kings Bay
  • Tidal planning — low tide makes some destinations inaccessible

Card Types

  • Weekend getaway — full day or overnight destinations
  • Family day trips — kid-friendly destinations with amenities
  • Couples retreat — romantic destinations, upscale dining
  • Explorer's guide — off-beaten-path spots for adventurous boaters
