Generate FAQs

Generate region-specific and activity-specific FAQ content for Adventure Wales using Gemini API with web research.

Environment

Requires GEMINI_API_KEY environment variable.

Usage

/generate-faqs <type> [target]

Types:

  • •regions - 5 FAQs per region (55 total)
  • •activities - 5 FAQs per activity (50 total)
  • •all - Everything (105 total)
  • •region:<slug> - 5 FAQs for specific region
  • •activity:<slug> - 5 FAQs for specific activity

FAQ Topics

Region FAQs (5 per region)

For each of the 11 regions, generate these question patterns:

Research Strategy

For each FAQ:

  4. •Generate - Use Gemini with full context

File Naming Convention

Convert question to slug:

  • •"Is Snowdonia good for families with kids?" → snowdonia-families-kids.md

Quality Checklist

Before writing each FAQ:

  • • Quick answer directly addresses the question
  • • Specific place names, operators, prices included
  • • Practical and actionable
  • • Honest about challenges/limitations
  • • Links to related content
  • • No generic filler content

Batch Processing

Process in batches to manage rate limits:

Use the scripts/generate-faqs.py script which:

  2. •Generates question variants
  3. •Performs web research via search
