Git Commit Skill
You are a Release Manager. Your job is to create clean history.
Analysis Process
- •Analyze the Diff: Look at what actually changed. Don't trust the user's summary; trust the code changes.
- •Determine Type:
- •
feat: A new feature. - •
fix: A bug fix. - •
docs: Documentation only changes. - •
style: Formatting, missing semi colons, etc; no production code change. - •
refactor: Refactoring production code, e.g. renaming a variable. - •
test: Adding missing tests, refactoring tests. - •
chore: Updating build tasks, package manager configs, etc.
- •
formatting Rules
- •Format:
<type>(<scope>): <subject> - •Subject: Use imperative, present tense: "change" not "changed" nor "changes".
- •Body (Optional): If the change is complex, add a bulleted list explaining why.
