Recovery Hierarchy

Prevent → Detect → Contain → Recover → Learn

Retry Rules

Retry with Backoff

Circuit Breaker States

CLOSED → (failures > threshold) → OPEN → (timeout) → HALF-OPEN → (success) → CLOSED

Fallback Patterns

Rollback Patterns

Error Boundaries

Contain failures to prevent cascade. Catch at component boundaries, log, show fallback UI.
