- [ ] Step 5: Run fastlane upload_metadata
- [ ] Step 6: Verify submission

Step 1: Update Release Notes

Files to update:

Update MARKETING_VERSION:

bash
# Find current version
grep "MARKETING_VERSION" ios/VoiLog.xcodeproj/project.pbxproj

# Update to new version (e.g., 1.2.0)

Step 3: Create Git Tag

bash
git add fastlane/metadata/
git add ios/VoiLog.xcodeproj/project.pbxproj
git commit -m "chore: bump version to 1.x.x

- Update release notes
- Increment version number

Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 4.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>"

git push origin v1.x.x

Step 4: Archive via Xcode

  1. Open ios/VoiLog.xcodeproj in Xcode
  2. Select VoiLog scheme (NOT VoiLogDevelop)
  3. Product → Archive
  4. Distribute App → App Store Connect
  5. Wait for upload completion

Step 5: Run Fastlane

bash
bundle exec fastlane upload_metadata

This will:

  • Upload metadata and screenshots
  • Submit for review automatically

Step 6: Verify

Check App Store Connect:

  • Version number correct
  • Release notes visible
  • Status: "Waiting for Review"

Common Issues

Issue: Fastlane authentication fails

Solution:

  1. Check FASTLANE_USER environment variable
  2. Verify App Store Connect API key
  3. Run fastlane fastlane-credentials add --username your@email.com

Issue: Archive build fails

Solution:

  1. Clean build folder: Product → Clean Build Folder
  2. Update Swift packages: xcodebuild -resolvePackageDependencies
  3. Check SwiftLint errors: cd ios && swiftlint

Issue: Git tag already exists

Solution:

bash
# Delete local tag
git tag -d v1.x.x

# Delete remote tag
git push origin :refs/tags/v1.x.x

# Create new tag
git tag v1.x.x
git push origin v1.x.x
